ELECTION '2000', CHAOS IN FLORIDA!!!
STILL NO WINNER!!! SUPREME COURT TO INTERVENE!!!
December 7, 1941, a date that will live in infamy.
Well, we have a new date, that could very well become an historical date, that will live in the record books as the first time that the results of an election were reversed, because of 'dirty tricks, and manipulations, of a losers' supporters. What that date will be, is uncertain. It is based on the outcome of all this wrangling, posturing, suits, and counter suits, and whatever other actions that occur, prior to the actual swearing in of the next president.
How did it all, get to this??? I can answer that with three words, 'the news media.'
November 7, 2000, as the reporting of the election results on the major networks was going on, through a process of what is called 'exit polling', it was announced that Al Gore, had won the electoral votes of Florida, which is 25. That announcement, I believe, is what set the stage for what we have now. You see, with that announcement, many people, I believe, felt no need to continue to stand in long lines, seeing that their candidate, had already won, or lost, and that their votes really wouldn't matter. Many either went back home, or still voted for other candidates and issues on the ballot, but not for president..
Little did they know, that their decision, would come back to haunt them.
Getting back to the media, their announcement of the results of polling data, came about 20 minutes after the polls had closed, in less than 10 percent (I believe), of the precincts closing. In other words, most of the precincts, were still open for voting, and people were still heading to the polls to vote, when the announcement was made. The Democrats, feeling that they had done their job, didn't feel the need to continue urging people to vote for Gore. They had it all sown up, according to the media. The Republicans, probably felt, there was no need in voting for Bush, if Gore had already won the state, so they either didn't vote at all, or just voted for other candidates on the ballot. That, would prove to be a 'big mistake.
You see, the problem with this scenario, is that the people rely on the media, to be their eyes and ears, to what is going on in the world. They put so much trust in them, that whatever they say, they believe. That is along the same line, of making them, their 'god.'
Anyway, as other election results came on, the news media, seemed to be arbitrarily reporting the results of other states' results, while not reporting on some states results, where all the polls had closed. These states that were not reported, were states that Bush had won. Therefore, if you looked at the numbers, it appeared that Bush was getting further, and further behind, thus discouraging Bush voters from voting. This could have been by design, seeing that the media, has a liberal bias.
Then, about 2 or three hours later, after all the polls had closed in Florida, and the tabulations had begun, the media, reversed their prediction that Gore had won the state, and said it was too close to call. By then, it was too late for anyone to go back and vote, or go to vote. Thousands of people did not vote at all, or didn't vote for a presidential candidate in Florida, based on the information they got from the media. The damage, was already done.
Hours later, it was announced that Bush, had won the state's 25 electoral votes. And, that, coupled with the other states' votes that he had accrued, he had the necessary 270 + 1, electoral votes, to win the presidency.
Later that morning, to my suprise, the news media said, the race was too close to call, and they had to, once again, recant their prediction. I thought to myself, what is going on???
What had gone on, is lawyers, from Gore's campaign, began to see some problems with the voting in certain precincts, where ballots, were rejected by the machines because of people voting for more than one presidential candidate, and others where no presidential candidate was voted for, at all. Then there were some who said that they, didn't understand the ballot, and voted for Pat Buchannan, instead of Gore, by mistake. Then there is the case of the 19,000 ballots that people said were not counted.
Now, here are the questions that I have. How did the lawyers, and all these people that said they accidentally voted for Buchannan, get together so quick? There had to have been some sort of preset, strategy to get together, if Gore lost, to try to challenge the vote, seeing that there was only a difference of about 350 votes (far less than 1/10th of 1 percent).
Because of this margin, an automatic recount is the law. It was designed for this purpose, to make sure of an accurate count.
The problem however, was not necessarily the counted votes, as much as it was originally thought, that there were 19,000 ballots that were rejected because of votes for more than one candidate. This is what really got the ball rolling.
After the mandatory recount, by
machine, Gore was still behind, but by a little larger margin.
People, being interviewed by lawyers for Gore, with the news media present, began to say, they had accidentally voted for Buchannan, when they meant to vote for Gore, while others said they think they voted for both Gore and Buchannan.
Question is, how do you double check their individual ballots to see who voted for whom?? The machines couldn't do it, so they proposed a manual recount, the old fashioned way, and that was, by hand.
The idea was, 'to discern the will of the voter.' That way, the questionable ballots could be tabulated.
But, even with this process, they still wouldn't be able to change anything, unless they could pick the individual voter's ballot, and ask them who they wanted to vote for, seeing that secret ballots, have no name on them.
A little later that day, it was announced that the 19,000 rejected votes, really didn't exist, because these were ballots where the individuals, had exchanged them for new ballots, after they, the voters, realized that they had made a mistake.
However, the damage had been done. People began to seek out , whoever they thought would listen, saying that they wanted their votes recounted.
Gore's supporters, began to challenge the vote count, and Gore, definitely wanted to do something to try and get the results of the election overturned.
In his quest to do that, he picked three counties, that apparently had the most rejected ballots, or other problems, those being ballots that had no votes for president on them.
It is my contention that all of this is the result of the news media trying to get ratings, and therefore jumping the gun on announcing the winner.
Because of their zeal to get ratings, we are now entangled in a mess, that has taxed this entire country's patience, as we see lawyers, filing all sorts of motions, and even the courts, seeming to take sides in the issue.
The problem with what most of the Democrats want, with hand counting, is that there is an inherent bias in the procedure, that has no way of being addressed to the complete satisfaction of everyone.
In the precincts, that Gore wants counted, is the fact that they are heavily Democratic, and the canvassing boards are majority Democratic. Therefore, if you allow Democrats to hand count the ballots, even, as in several cases, where there was a Republican observer, the observer was outnumbered by 2 to 1. So, if 2 Democrats said a vote is for Gore, and the Republican said no, the Democrats win out, and the vote would go for Gore. One observer, outside of the
counting process said, there was one woman, that looked at every ballot that was given her, and called it for Gore, without even really examining them.
Not all of them were this obvious, but as the counts went forward, and not enough votes were going for Gore, they changed the rules again, when they saw that time was running out, based on the fact that all counting had to be done, not later than 10 days after the election, when absentee ballots had to be in, and counted.
The absentee ballots, posed a big threat to Gore, because they, traditionally were Republican, as they came from mostly overseas military personnel.
One of Gore's people, sent out a memo to all canvassers, on how to disqualify these ballots, when they get in. As a result, several thousand were disqualified because they weren't postmarked right, or some other minor problem, whereas in the past, they were accepted.
It showed that these people, had an agenda that was geared at getting Gore, the presidency, at any cost.
Many of us thought that the problem would be solved in a few days, but that was not the case.
In order to stop the insanity, George Bush, was forced to go to the courts.
The first court he went to, was a circuit court in Florida, and he was made out to be the 'bad guy', because he didn't want the votes to be counted.
A friend of mine had said that given the situation, the Democrats would find some way to turn this around, and make it appear that Bush, not Gore, was trying to steal the election.
You should have heard some of the people that I talked with about this matter.
They all said about the same thing, and that is, 'Bush is trying to steal the election, by stopping the vote counting.'
Al Gore, and his supporters kept on harping on, 'We need to make sure that ALL the votes are counted.' Every day it was the same thing, 'all the votes need to be counted.' It's funny that given what he and the Democrats were saying, then why didn't he demand a total vote recount for the whole state??
There is a county by the name of Duvall, that had twice as many ballots rejected than the three counties that Gore wanted to have recounted, put together. The problem is, this was a Republican dominated county. This showed me that Gore was really the one trying to steal the election.
It is no suprise that the news media kept this little fact, secret. They wanted to make it appear that Bush was scared of the recount that Gore wanted.
So Bush, seeing that Gore was engaging in an unethical behavior, in trying to win, had to go to court to stop him.
The problem is, the court that he went to first, was, you guessed it, the supreme court of Florida, with all 7 justices, affiliated with the Democratic party, and as a result, they turned him down.
What had happened, is that the court, ordered the Secretary of state, not to certify the election results, until several days after the legal deadline for all the votes to be counted, which was 10 days after the election. They changed the rules.
This action was, unconstitutional, in that it sought to overturn what the Florida constitution, itself said, was the law. Not only did they stop her from certifying the count, something that they had no power to do, they set a new deadline for having the votes counted.
This forced Bush, to go to the US Supreme court, to overturn that decision. People didn't think the Supreme court would take the case, but, they did..
After hearing all the facts, and reviewing the ruling of the Florida supreme court, they, in effect, told the court, that they didn't see any legal reason for what it did, and that unless they could give a constitutional reason for what they did, their ruling was nullified.
This forced the court to re examine their own ruling, and instead of following the dictates of the Supreme court, they showed, what could truly be called, 'a liberal bias', by re ordering the count to start, and adding votes that the US Supreme court, had already said was an illegal count, to the totals that were already ready for certification.
At this point, Bush's lead, had dropped from nearly 950, to 500, to less than 200.
Gore supporters, were rejoicing in the fact that the lead had dropped this far. They figured it was just a matter of time, before they would see Gore, take the lead. All of this, through clearly, illegal means.
As if that wasn't bad enough, we had Jessie Jackson, trying to make it a racial thing. Anytime something goes against blacks, you can count on Jackson, showing up, and playing the race card.
Any way, another appeal to the US Supreme court, halted the new count, within hours of starting. Right away, people started accusing the court, of being biased. Now, that's a joke. They accused the court, of giving the election to Bush, as if the Florida court wasn't doing the same thing for Gore.
Despite all their tricks, challenges, and other maneuvers, it proved to be in vain, because, in the end, on December 12, 35 days after the election, gave him the win, George Bush, was declared the winner.
Throughout all of this, blame was cast all over, between both parties, and their people. But the main ones, that, to me caused this chaos, escaped with out even acknowledging their actions.
This should be a warning to all of us. If they can do this once, they can do it again.
There is an old saying, that goes like this, 'Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!!'
Throughout the years, the news media has been the, catalyst of the majority of conflicts between everybody in the arena of right and wrong. They have set themselves up as the 'true leaders' of the people. We think the politicians are the ones running the country, but the 'media', with all their power, to get, and then disseminate, information, figure that since they know it all,, then they can manipulate those of us that are ignorant.
The phrase, 'knowledge is power', says it all. The more you know, the more powerful and the more prosperous you will be, providing you have the wisdom necessary to make good use of it.
The news media, gets the information, then alters it, or takes part of it, and twists it around, then gives the altered version to us, and we go off, thinking that it is the truth, when in effect, it is anything but.
At one time, the news media did one thing, and one thing only, they reported the news, and that was it. Now, they not only report it, they now, they put their 'spin' on it. And since we don't have the same facts that they have access to, then we are supposed to depend on them, because they have the information.
Notice how, if they want to get some information from someone, group, business, or other entity, and are refused that information, they go to court, to sue under the 'freedom of information act.' Therefore, they have as much, if not more power than the president. Because, if they wanted to, they could get information on the president himself, and no one could stop them, that is, not legally.
By the same token, if they have information, and they don't want you to know about it, you can't get it from them.
There have been instances, where they got information about a crime investigation, from a source, and the police wanted to talk with that source, but the reporter, refused to reveal who it was.
In other instances, in order to further their agenda, or that of a certain group, they may have information that would reveal that group's information, in furthering their agenda, is wrong, but because they want to see that group get what they want, they hold the information that is important, from the opponents of that group.
One example is the ongoing push by anti gun advocates to get rid of all guns.
They say that more guns, will mean more people being victims of gun violence. They quote statistics which say many innocent people are killed every year because of gun violence. The news media even quotes the numbers. However, what they don't tell you, is that far more intended victims, have turned the tables on criminals that had tried to victimize them.
By a margin of more that 5 to 1, I believe this is the number, more people are have been saved from being victimized by someone, if not themselves, who had a gun, and either stopped the criminal, or in a couple of instances, shot him. But, the news media, who has the exact information, doesn't even mention this, because it runs contrary to the plans of their advocates.
The news media, has gone from the position of reporting the news, to making news, hence the fiasco concerning the presidential election.
As one group tries to out do the others for ratings sake, we are bombarded with hastily put together stories, where they report it first, then investigate, second.
Remember a few years back when one of the media investigations zeroed in on the gas tanks of certain GM pick up trucks, catching on fire, when the truck was hit from the side.
In a film of a test, we saw the gas tank catch on fire when the truck was hit. People were suing GM for fires that had killed, or injured loved ones who were in wrecks.
Later, after these films were examined by GM and their lawyers, it was found that there was an incendiary device hidden by the tank to cause a fire when it was hit. The news media had planted the device just for that film. That film was used by attorneys in preparing lawsuits against GM. They later, apologized. But, you see what they are capable of doing.
However, they just keep on going along
doing their thing, and we, like sheep hold them in a place that should only be held for God. That, my friends, is idolatry, and God hates it.
