This is a true story.

On October 5, 2009, I placed a call in to a talk radio show, on WCHB-1200AM, to comment on a topic concerning the condition of the black community, and what people thought, was needed to turn things around.

The host of the show, is a minister, so I told him, that the problem with this nation, and, the black community especially, straight out, and to the point is, we need to get back to God. I cited the example of how, our kids, are going around acting like animals, in gangs, having no respect for authority, or even themselves, and how this was all tied in to the fact that the public schools in this nation, for the most part, have eliminated any recognition of God, from their curriculum, and have, for the past 40 years or so, been teaching their students, that they came from monkeys [in other words, wild animals], and as a result, we are seeing the manifestation of that teaching, being played out, before our eyes.

After I hung up, the host commented that what I was saying, was that we needed a Spiritual solution to the problem. Then he asked his audience, what they thought about what I said.

Out of the next 10 callers to get through, only 2, agreed with what I had said. The others, started asking why was I, picking on the church, as being the cause of the problem?? They commented on how the church is feeding the hungry, providing clothes for the naked, and all of the other good things that people expect the church to do, as directed by Christ.

Now, to be fair about it, I didn't get to hear all of the rest of the program, so I don't know what the host had to say before the hour closed out, but, judging from the calls he received, supporting what the church is doing, at present, shows one thing, very clearly. That one thing is, these people don't have a clue, as to how the Church, figures in to the problems we have in this nation. They don't realize that God, Christ, has the Church here, to bring us back to Him. We, that name the name of Christ, have a much bigger responsibility, than just meeting the physical, and emotional needs of the people. We are supposed to be proclaiming, and yes, demonstrating the Word, and Power of God, to the leaders of this nation, and letting them know, what the consequences of ignoring that Word, will be.

The problem is, that part of the message has been drowned out, and replaced with the word of, 'political correctness.'

Under the doctrine of 'political correctness', we shouldn't do anything to offend anyone, that might have different religious beliefs than we have, no matter what God, says about it. Mind you now, I am not talking about getting out there and outrightly embarrassing them. There are ways to let them see, the shortcomings of their beliefs, without being belligerent.

If you will notice, I said, 'let them see.'

In situations like this, talk, for all the good it is supposed to do, is cheap.

Go back in to the old testament, and you will find, that time and again, there was a time for talk, and then, there was a time for action, and I am not talking about violence, necessarily.

God told His prophets, to tell the people to either do something and be blessed, or, refuse, and be cursed. There was no middle ground [common ground], so to speak, when it came down to His Commandments.

But, because most churches in this nation today, are choosing to walk in 'political correctness', like some well known preachers in the black community say we should, we are suffering because the message of God, is not being put out, for the people to follow.

But, it goes further than that.

I want to call your attention to a story in the old testament book of [1Kings 18].

To capsulize the story, Israel is suffering every possible way imaginable. They have lost wars, they are slaves to other nations. They are starving. In general, they are cursed. When Elijah, meets with King Ahab, Ahab asks him, if he, Elijah, is the one that is troubling Israel. This is almost a mirror image of what is going on today in this nation, when people want to blame Right wing Christians, the religious right, and those that won't compromise the Word of God, for any one, or any thing, for the troubles we are experiencing.

Anyway, Elijah tells him, 1Ki 18:18 And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.

What he is telling Ahab, is that he, Ahab, and Israel, have, forsaken God's commandments, and have decided to follow the doctrine of Baal, and that is why they are suffering.

Then, he asks 'the question.' 1Ki 18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him.

Here is where the rubber is going to meet the road. Because now, the time for talk, is over. It is time for action. The same thing can be asked today, of this nation.

For years, Israel, has followed the advice of those that were the prophets of the Devil, just like today, this nation, is following the same types of prophets, but they just go by different names, and appear to be men of God 2Cor 11:13-15 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

What Elijah then did, was, not talk, but demonstrate, what God can do, versus what Baal can do. That's right, he demonstrated what faith in God, can do. That is what is missing in those 'politically correct' churches today.

Elijah had the people call all 450 prophets of Baal together, and made a simple test. Whichever god, answered their servant's call, by sending fire down from Heaven, then their god, was God. Elijah, one man, against 450. He even let them go first.

They called on Baal, for hours, they sacrificed and even cut themselves, and threw themselves on the altar of sacrifice, trying to get him to respond. Nothing.

Then, near the end of the day, it was Elijah's turn.

In what was a memorable demonstration, Elijah, had some wood, in a sort of pit, that he was wanting God to set on fire. But, to make sure there wasn't any scientific possibility of spontaneous combustion, seeing that all the area was drought stricken, Elijah had the people dowse the wood with water, 3 times. Then, he made the sacrifice, according to the way God said it should be done, and called on God, and the fire came down from Heaven, consumed the sacrifice, the wood, and the water.

When the people saw it, they killed the 450 prophets of Baal, because they realized all their suffering, came from the fact that these prophets, had misled them, and returned to God. Something this nation needs to realize.

One day very soon, God is going to send someone, if He hasn't already, to confront these false preachers, wolves in sheep's clothing, and show them up for who they really are. They are the ones that have convinced the people to follow a path of destruction, and the people, once seeing the Truth, will turn on them.

Anytime, you have a church, minister, evangelist, or whatever, attacking those that refuse to compromise on the Word of God, you better look out, because your destruction, will be on you own head, if you fail to separate yourself from them.

Read this.

Eze 3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
Eze 3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Eze 3:19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

My question to you is, which one of these, are you, or your church?? One that preaches the Word, uncompromisingly, or a 'politically correct', progressive?

When we have so many people, that say they are Christians, yet can't see the connection between what is happening in this nation, and the failure of the Church, to get God's message out, then, as I said at the beginning, THE STATE OF THE CHURCH IN THIS NATION, IS NOT GOOD!!!

What has happened is, over the past few decades, the Church, has been infiltrated by preachers, who, unlike those that are called, and anointed by God, are self called, or have chosen ministry, like a person chooses a job. They have no Spiritual connection to God, and in fact, are a stink in His nostrils.

Yet, the people, being Spiritually blind themselves, like the message these preachers are telling them, because it appeals to their basic nature, as sinners. They like what they are doing [sin], and want to feel good about themselves. They don't like anyone telling them they are doing something wrong. They especially don't like to hear the word, hell, as their final destination if they don't change their wicked ways. So, they want to shut everyone up, that even remotely threatens their security.

This is a saying that, directly ties the condition of this nation, and the Church, and that is, 'As goes the Church, so goes the nation.' The condition of this nation, is a direct result of, the condition of the Church.

The One thing, that sets Christianity, far and above any other religion, is the Power of God, that is channeled through it.

If it weren't for that Power, then the Church, would be just another man made religion, with a bunch of empty promises, and utopian dreams.

What was it that drove Israel back to God, and away from the religion of the 450 prophets of Baal, in the story above??? It was God's Power, that made the difference. Before that demonstration, the people didn't see any difference in any of the religions, that were being taught, just like it is today, in this nation. The people are even unaware of any such Power, even being available to them in the Church. The reason for this is simple. God only manifests His Power, in churches, that are following His directions, and are being led by a man that He has anointed, to lead them. If the leader is out of order, then, God is not going to back him up, by loosing His Power, through that church.

If you will notice, I keep addressing the notion that the leader [pastor] of the church, as a man. I do so, because, that is what God has directed the pastor to be. Women, have a function in the Church, as directed by God, but, it is not as a pastor. Any woman in the position of senior pastor in a church, is 'out of order.' Some churches have women pastors, and their duty is to teach the women only. Any activity they are involved in, within the church, outside of that, is blasphemy, and God is not in it. I am talking about women pastors, and bishops, only, not evangelists and teachers.

The religion of 'political correctness' says, a woman, is just as good as a man. Which, by the way may be true in areas outside the church, and family. But, in the family, and church, it is different. God tells the woman, 1Pet 3:5-7 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement. Then He goes on and describes what the man should do as far as the wife is concerned, Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. The reason I underlined that the man is directed to give honor unto the wife, is the fact that the wife, is part of the man, in marriage, and the man, dishonoring the wife, is actually dishonoring himself, not to mention, blaspheming the Word of God. He warns that prayers can be hindered. All because they are out of order.

Need I address women bishops?? Need I address actively gay pastors and bishops??

All of these are products of the religion of 'political correctness', and as such, blaspheme the Word of God. Thus God's Power is absent, and what you have, is just another 'dead' religion.

A church, that does not address these issues, and sin, as God calls it, is spiritually dead, and is good for nothing, which is the case in most churches in this nation. And what do you do with something that is dead?? You usually bury it.

However, there is another alternative, and that is, resurrection.

God is fully able to resurrect a dead church, if and when, it decides to get on the right track, and do like Israel did, with the prophets of Baal, get rid of them, and their religion, or in our case today, 'political correctness.'

Does the Church have the backbone to do this?? Or will it continue to sink even lower in to the abyss of mediocrity??

Only time will tell, and there isn't much of it left!!
