This is to introduce you to a booklet, that I am sure, will help you in your endeavors to change the path of many of our young people, that are either caught up or interested, in the phenomenon known as 'Hip Hop.'
The purpose of this booklet, is to give the reader, some insight in to the specific genre of 'rap music', known as 'gangsta rap.'
There are 6 messages in this book of 30 pages, that are a complete package, that will not only inform the reader of the danger of this particular form of entertainment, from God's point of view, but will also let them know, that God is also willing to forgive them, and clean them up, so they can be fit, for the kingdom of Heaven.
These messages are presented in a bare bones, to the point tract format, along with scripture references, that will serve to let the reader know what God has to say about what many see as 'no big deal', and the reality of His Word.
Also, unlike sermons, preached in church, they are something that can be referred to, over and over again, which is the best way for a person to retain knowledge, and share with others in study groups, or with family and friends.
The titles of the messages are,
- Know Your Enemy, the Devil [Deals with knowing the tactics the Devil uses to entrap our youth in things that will destroy them.]
- The Death of Tupac Shakur [A message about the consequences this young man encountered when he used a gift that God gave him, to glorify the ungodliness of sex, and violence, all for the purpose of making 'big money.' It also identifies who was responsible for his death.
- Beware of the New Preachers [1] [This message, along with part 2, identifies rappers, in a light that none of them, or us, for that matter, have even considered. That is, the fact, that what they are really doing, is preaching. Imagine that!! Here, people thought it was just entertainment, but in reality, they are doing much more than that.
- Beware of the New Preachers [2]
- You Must Be Born Again [The message that never grows old. That all of us, if we want to enter in to Heaven, when the time comes, must be in right standing with God, by being 'saved.' There is only one way to get there, and Jesus Christ, is It.
- No Record of It Here [This message closes out this series, by letting the reader know, that despite what man may say, or do, or the devil for that matter, as far as trying to put a guilt trip on a person that has gotten saved, or thinking about it, concerning the record of their past life, God, has removed that record, from His books, because of the 'blood of Jesus Christ.' So, there is therefore no condemnation for those that are in Christ.
Also, there is a section on the benefits of salvation, ending with a 'prayer of salvation', for those that want to give their lives to Christ'
