(the real Gospel is hate speech 1)

SCRIPTURE – Isa. 5:20-21                                                                                                                                                         AUGUST, 2017

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

SUBJECT – THE REAL GOSPEL, IS HATE SPEECH [1]

When someone thinks of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the first thing that comes to the mind of the believer, is that it means 'the Good News.'

To those that have no idea of what that means, you would have to know the history of the relationship between God and man.

To make a long story short, when God made man, He gave him all the freedom to do, and eat whatever he wanted to, as long as he did not eat of one tree in the middle of the Garden of Eden. This tree was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil [it was not an apple tree.]

God told the man that the day he ate of that tree, he would surely die.

In the mind of man, that meant physical death.

However, that was only the lighter part of the warning.

Because of what he did, Adam set the course of all mankind, on the road of sickness, disease, death and eventually eternal damnation, in hell.

The only solution to avoid this 'curse', would have to come from a man, that was 'perfect [meaning born without the nature of Adam within him], being willing to accept the wrath of God, which was death, both physical, and spiritual, in our place.

Once that was done, then, any person that accepted what this 'perfect' man, had done, and asked Him to be Lord, over his/her life, would have that curse, removed.

No man, whose father was human, could ever meet that stipulation.

Enter Jesus Christ, who was that Man.

He was conceived by the Holy Ghost, and born of a virgin, and as such, was the perfect individual to meet those qualifications.

Next, He had to be obedient to the Father, throughout His Life.

But, the real test of that obedience, the thing on which the fate of all mankind rested, would be His willingness to sacrifice His own Life on the Cross, to meet the requirements that God had set to be met, so that mankind could have a place in Heaven.

At any time, He could have called down the Angels to destroy all those that sought to kill Him, or have done it Himself, seeing that He is God, and that would have sealed our fate. But Thank God He didn't.

This is the gist of the Gospel.

Now, if we examine the Life of Christ, and look at the things He did, and said, He set the standard of how anyone that wanted to take advantage of this free 'offer of deliverance', had to follow in the footsteps of Christ in being obedient to His Heavenly Father, by living their lives in the image of the foundation that Christ has set.

And, it is on this foundation, that the Gospel is built, and is the source of what the world [those that are unsaved and carnally minded] have a big problem with.

You see, according to their way of thinking, they should be able to do whatever, whenever they want to because, in the case of America, they are free to do whatever it is that makes them happy.

As the Bill of Rights says, we have the right to, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

The problem is, being human, our nature is one that runs totally contrary to what God, and Christ, through the Gospel says.

Humans, are born with what is called a 'sin nature!'

We inherited this nature as a result of Adam's disobedience to God, in the Garden of Eden.

What this means is our natural reaction to what God says, is to ignore Him, and do the opposite.

If He says something is sin, our nature is to do it anyway. By the same token, if He says we should do something, we find reasons not to do it.

One thing about human nature, is that all of us like to hear good things, especially about ourselves.

The best way to win someone over to our way of thinking is to present a picture of peace, harmony, prosperity, love, wealth, victory, or some other goal, that makes one to want to join in on that path.

The Gospel, presents just such a scenario.

It is full of these and other promises from God, none the less, that lets us know that if we look to Him, and see what He has for us, then our lives will be full of blessings, all the days of our lives.

Most churches, and most preachers build their messages on this Gospel. And as a result, because of human nature, many are drawn in to church, hoping to take advantage of those things that God is offering.

If you are sick, and the doctors can't help you, He offers healing!!!Blind?? He offers sight!!! Depressed??? Hope!!! In bondage??? Deliverance!!! Poor??? Wealth!!! Possessed??? Deliverance!!!

The list goes on and on.

Who wouldn't want to join in to something like that???

The thing is, God offers these things to all of us, no matter who we are, and what our status is.

He is truly an equal opportunity Blesser!!!

So, why then, do I call this Gospel, hate speech???

It is because, in order to receive what God is offering, you have to first, get rid of, or turn away from, those things that God says are evil in His sight.

And, since human nature tends to derive great pleasure from them, there is a 'big problem.'

That problem is 'sin.'

The bible says, 1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

So, what is a transgression?? In plain ordinary terms, it means you have committed a crime, or have broken the law!!

And, what happens when you break the law???

You get punished!!! That is assuming you get caught!!

Any way, the bottom line is, in the case of the Gospel, as long as you are engaging in sin, you are cutting yourself off from most, if not all of the benefits of the Gospel.

If you will notice the title of this message, you will see it has the term. 'Real Gospel!!'

The reason I use this term, is to differentiate between it, and the other forms of the Gospel that are being presented to millions upon millions of people everyday, that is designed to get people in to church under false pretenses.

Most of the people I have run across, that call themselves Christians, will willingly acknowledge what Christ has done for all mankind, and have accepted Him, they say, as Lord of their lives.

However, after talking with them, over a short period of time, I begin to see that they are under the mistaken belief that they can be saved, while at the same time, continue in their 'wicked ways', and still receive the benefits that God has for those that remain obedient to Him.

Nothing could be further from the Truth!!

Yet, the teachings, and messages being taught and preached from most churches, leads one to believe exactly that.

You have heard in recent months, the term 'fake news!!!' Well, my friends, what we have here is 'fake gospel!!!'

And because of this 'fake gospel', many millions of souls are eternally lost [in hell], because of it.

And, just what are the main characteristics of this 'fake gospel??'

Rejecting the idea that a person is committing sin. Not calling the person out about their sinful behavior. Making excuses for the way they are acting. Blaming the person's condition on someone other than themselves. And about the biggest one of all is the idea that, if you speak against the person, and what they are doing, you are being a bully, and promoting hate!!

The apostle Paul once said, Gal. 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, PREACH ANY OTHER GOSPEL unto you than that which we have preached unto you, LET HIM BE ACCURSED.

The apostle Paul knew that there would be some that would come along after he, and the other apostles had left, and begin to add to, and take away from, the message they, the apostles had delivered, and fashion their message in such a way, that would endear them to the people, and to benefit financially from them.

In other words, they would tell the people what they wanted to hear.

And just what did/do the people want to hear??

That their behavior is not their fault, God made them that way. That their actions are the result of a disease. That God, realizes that man is imperfect, and will never be perfect, and therefore He will forgive us whether we acknowledge[admit to] and repent[turn away from] our sin, or not!! In some cases, there is no longer any sin.

If you look at the path that humanity is on today in regards to sin, it lines up perfectly with what the apostle Paul said when he wrote this down, 2Tim 4:3 FOR THE TIME WILL COME WHEN THEY WILL NOT ENDURE SOUND DOCTRINE; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2Tim 4:4 AND THEY SHALL TURN AWAY THEIR EARS FROM THE TRUTH, AND SHALL BE TURNED UNTO FABLES.

All of this is designed for one purpose, and that is to allow people to feel no guilt, about doing what they are doing.

After all, if no one ever tells you that you are committing sin, then, you won't feel any guilt, and maybe even feel better about doing what you are doing.

The last thing they want, is some, what they call 'holier than thou' nut coming around putting 'guilt trips' on them and destroying their fun.

To make sure that doesn't happen, they get their representatives, in public office to pass laws, or Hollywood aka Hellywood entertainers to promote the idea that those that speak against what these people want, are nothing more than bullies, bigots, and just plain haters.

Now, there is a difference between love and hate. That difference is what this message is going to deal with.

I am sure that the vast majority of you, whether saved or not, have a problem with someone that hates another person for no reason whatsoever.

Let's face it racism, homophobia, bigotry, and whatever else that a person may exhibit their hatred of someone else based solely because of a person's race, creed color, national origin, religion or even their sexual preference, is not acceptable in any arena.

However, there is a problem when people tend to believe that because a person does not support what someone else is doing, that that, constitutes an attack on what that person likes to do.

This is why this message is entitled the way it is.

If you will look at the subject verse, you will see a passage of scripture that puts all of our present day stances on these and other issues into the proper perspective.

As I mentioned earlier, the Gospel opens up the idea that God, is willing to pour out His Blessings on all of mankind. And, it doesn't matter who you are, where you are from, or what your religious persuasion is, or what sin[s] you are guilty of.

In most churches, that is all they tell you.

Even some of our most popular preachers, that are seen by millions every week on TV, including a lot of Word of Faith preachers, tend to preach and teach messages that deal with what is known as the 'Prosperity Gospel', where all you have to do is ask God, and have the faith to believe you have received it and you shall have it!!

Now, there is nothing wrong with their message as far as it being biblically correct. After all, Jesus said, Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

The problem is, there are things called 'prerequisites' conditions that have to be met before Mk.11:23, can become a reality in a person's life. More about them, next month.
