SCRIPTURE – John 16:12-13                                                                                                                                                          MARCH, 2018

I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:
for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

SUBJECT – THE TRUTH IS, WHAT IT IS!!!!

The message for this month, and probably for the next and more, will be one that, unlike most of the others that I have written, will take a look at a variety of human issues, and what God has to say about them, in light of His Word.

In this world in which we live, there are lot of things that over the years, have been looked on as being what is called 'the truth, or reality!'

And, over the years, many of those things, though they were considered to be true at the time, have been proven, or shown to be temporary at best, partial, or a complete lie at worst.

Examples: For a time, it was commonly accepted that the world was flat. During that time, it seemed like the truth. However, even though it seemed like it was the truth, it was not.

Even though it was not the truth, we can't say it was a lie necessarily because, a lie usually is something that is used, to deny, or combat a known truth.

There was a time when the existence of germs and viruses, electricity, airplanes, space travel, and many other things that we know about today, as being the facts, were at one time not even a speck in the eyes of the minds of mankind.

In fact, if any one even brought up the idea of any of these things being possible, they would most likely be put in prison, sent to a mental institution, or even put to death for being a witch, or something like that.

The problem with most things that we consider to be truth, or reality, is that they, over time, might be revealed to be another case of being temporary, because something more enlightening has come along.

Yet, some truths, have been, are now, and will always be the same, because of one thing, and that is, they are rooted and grounded in the Word of God.

This message, is going to address the truth, as man sees it, versus, the Truth of His Word.

It is not going to be pretty, and many will take offense to what will be revealed, and that's OK!! However, when Truth comes against a temporary, or partial truth, it's an improvement. When Truth comes against a lie, then it is a major shakeup, that will rattle some of you to the core.

If you are a Christian, the time in which we live, is the most dangerous for us to be living in, because, the split between Truth, as God says it is, vs the truth as man says it is, is getting to be monumental.

In fact, that schism has become so big, it resembles what can best be described as a 'war' on God, and Christ by those that hold to man's idea of the truth.

And the sad part is, too many Christians, are siding with man's idea of the truth.

Let's look at how man comes about forming his idea of truth.

He usually does it by trying to find evidence of what he believes, while at the same time rejecting any and everything that goes against that belief.

But, that is not enough. He has to have others that are people that the public will accept, as being credible enough to give legitimacy to the his idea. Most notably, they are scientists, psychologists, sociologists, psychiatrists, and others, that I label as 'the new gods!!'

Once they put their stamp of approval on something, then, that is the way it is. Go against them, and you are seen as being a troublemaker, revolutionary, bigot, or some other name that sets you up for attack.

This is not unlike in some times past, when tribal witch doctors, would set the way a tribe lived, if any one went against them, they would either be executed, or banished from the tribe. They had more influence over the people than the chief did.

Today, they have in some instances, gone from looking like something out of your worst nightmares, to wearing suits and ties under a white lab uniform, and having a pleasant demeanor about themselves. Their credentials are many, and they are looked on as the saviors of mankind, but, they are the same old devils, wrapped up in a more presentable package.

There are also some that, unlike those that I just mentioned, do not present themselves as scientists, and doctors, but use another title, and that is men/women of God, in the positions of authority in churches all over this land.

Let me say this, I am not talking about every one of them in either instance, but, those that have become so engrossed in their own self interests, as to actively go against anything or anyone, that challenges their authority over people, even if that challenge is from God Himself.

The reason that they are in this position essentially comes from one of these sources. They either look at ministry in the Church, as being just another job, and a way to make a decent income. Or, they see it as a stepping stone to achieving some sort of power, or influence in their communities, or political circles, which allows them access to those that wield such power.

Ministry of God's Word, is not just a job, it is a 'calling' that far too many that are in this position, have absolutely no business being in it, because, they have not been 'called' by God, to be there. They have either 'called' themselves in to it, or had friends and relatives influence them to be in it because of their personality, or speaking ability, and influence on others.

If a person is in that position, and has not been called by God, they have absolutely no assistance from Him in either understanding, or delivering His Word to others.

He/she may have all the good intentions, but, without God's anointing on their ministry, it is going to be nothing but show, at the least, and a disaster at the very worst.

Think of it like this.

If I write you a set of instructions that, if followed to the letter, will make your life the best it can possibly be, and at the same time gives you a warning as to what will happen if they are not followed, and, you have trouble understanding some of them, if not, all of them, who is the best source for you to go to, to get a clearer understanding??

Hopefully, that would be me. It is asinine for you to go to anyone other than the one who gave you the instructions. Wouldn't you agree???

Yet, this is exactly what is going on with these people.

God won't assist them because He never put them in these positions. Therefore, He has no obligation to do so.

And, because they can't get His assistance, they turn to the only other source that they can find. Themselves, or the new god's.

They open the bible, and begin to read it like it is some type of school textbook, or mystery novel, with all sorts of stories of science fiction, mysteries, drama, comedy and intrigue, that leave them with the notion that they can make up their own ideas as to which ones to embellish and which ones to ignore.

So, they pick and choose, based on what they think the most people would like to listen to. After all, it makes good business sense to present a product the people will respond favorably to, so that they can maximize profits.

What they don't have a clue about is, the bible is full of all these things, but, each one is connected to the other, in such a way that, when looked at, through the eyes of the Holy Spirit, one can begin to see the full message of what God has hidden from the carnally minded individuals, but has made it as clear as day, to His anointed.

You ever wonder why it is that ministers like myself, tend to sound like we must be drunk, homophobes, mean-spirited, attacking women, holy rollers, bible thumpers, dropped in from mars, and the like, as compared to others that seem to show that God isn't the way we seem to say that He is???

It is because we see, what God sees!! So, we say what He says.

Do you remember all the persecution God's anointed people faced down through the years, especially in the time of the beginning of the Church age, starting with Christ, Himself??

This was because He, and they, said and did things that flew directly in the face of those with a lot of head knowledge, and experience but, were spiritually blind!!

Jesus put it like this!! Mat 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, BECAUSE THOU HAST HID THESE THINGS FROM THE WISE AND PRUDENT, AND HAST REVEALED THEM UNTO BABES.

I have heard it said millions of times that the worst thing for a babe [newcomer] in Christ to do, is to sit under someone that has all types of degrees behind their name, because, depending on their calling, or lack thereof, they, in the case of the latter, will make that person twice as worse than they were before they came to Him.

Once again Jesus says, Mat 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, YE MAKE HIM TWOFOLD MORE THE CHILD OF HELL THAN YOURSELVES.

And, that is what we have running around this nation, and our community, today.

Anyone that knows anything about what Jesus Christ had to deal with when He first walked this earth, knows that His main opposition came from those that had the credentials and the bloodline to be the religious leaders of that day.

Yet, according to the scripture above, He called them just what they really were, and that is just what we have in our midst today, that hold the positions of power and authority amongst us today, that are preachers.

Drive by their churches and you will see their names, preceded by titles Rev., or Dr., and followed by all types of indicators of their degrees, advertising their educational achievements.

Thing is, depending on the institution they received those degrees from, they may be legitimately bible based, or totally the opposite.

In case of the bible based education, it may be the best but, that still doesn't qualify them to be God's ministers. As far as the other type of education, that goes without saying.

And, the problem is, unless a person is guided by the Holy Spirit, they can't recognize the 'real', from the 'counterfeit.'

Even people with the highest form of 'good intentions', can't just get a degree and start preaching, because God doesn't choose people based on their education, or good intentions, He chooses them based on their willingness to submit themselves to His Will and not theirs.

In the new testament, we see that Christ picked men as His disciples, that were for the most part, uneducated. He did this to show that no matter how little education you have, God can make a great man/woman out of you. But, you have to be willing to learn from Him.

Since Christ, was not in the bloodline of the scribes and pharisees, and was only a carpenter, Mat 13:55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

Mat 13:56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

They were offended by Him, as verse 57 starts out, and, because of that, they plotted on getting rid of Him so that their control over the people would remain. That is what most preachers, especially in the black community are enjoying today. Control over the people.

They tell you what to think about certain issues, who to vote for, who is a friend, or foe, when to get out and protest, who to put your faith in, and so on.

Consequently, when someone like myself comes along, that is not part of this fraternity of self-appointed hypocrites, as Jesus called them, they have a problem with us.

Next month, you will see what the problem is!!
