SCRIPTURE – Mat. 5:14                                                                                                                                     NOVEMBER, 2022

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

SUBJECT – IT'S A DAMN SHAME!!! THE LIGHT IS OUT!!!
Going on to the next 2 verses,

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

The message for this month, has to do with the condition of this nation, and especially the black community, as we get ready to go to the polls to elect who we feel are the ones to best lead us for the next 2 years.

I don't think there is anyone that is of sound mind and body, that would disagree with the idea that we are in a mess.

Crime is rampant throughout this country. COVID-19 and its variants, have caused untold millions of people to lose family members, friends and jobs, over the past few years. The nation is divided like never before, not only along racial lines, but economic, gender, moral and just about anything else you can imagine..

In short, the United States of America, is anything but!!!

How did we get here??

It is very simple!!! We have forgotten the Source, if you will, from which all good things come. And that is God, through Jesus Christ!!

Now, the next question to be asked is, just how did this happen??

Well, in our subject scriptures, Jesus Christ, no less, is giving us a major clue, when He tells His followers, just what they are to be positioned as in this dark, and dying generation.

He starts out telling them that they are the light of the world!!

Well, what is light, and what does it do??

First, it eliminates darkness. The 2 are the total opposites of each other, and can't occupy the same space, at the same time. Since light, is the superior entity, darkness cannot overshadow it. In fact, darkness can only become prevalent, when there is no light!

Then He tells them, they are a city on a hill, than can't be hid.

This carries with it the idea that, by being on a high place, above everything else, then everyone on the lower ground, can see it.

Verse 15 gives us His reason for verse 14, when He says what the purpose of the light is for. It is to provide a means for which people can find their way safely around things which are not visible in darkness.

If anyone goes in to an unknown room, where it is dark, they may find themselves stumbling over furniture, or other objects, or bumping into a wall, cabinet or something else, that they can't see.

Ships out on the sea, need the light of the lighthouse, to guide them through the waters at night. They also need lights from other ships to keep from crashing in to them, as well as having lights themselves to keep others from crashing in to it.

That is why, in verse 16, He tells them to, let their lights shine, to the point that it will draw men, who are in darkness to that Light, which is in them, which is Jesus Christ!!!

From this, we can deduce then, that all of His followers have a Light in them that they need to allow to shine especially when things are as dark as they are today.

Notice, He tells them to let their lights shine. This carries with it the idea that a person can, if they wish to, turn their light off.

Well, what happens when you turn off a light anywhere??? Darkness takes over!!!

Speaking from a spiritual standpoint, this nation is in spiritual darkness, which translates in to all of the physical problems we are facing today.

And, why is this the case??? Because most of the people that are supposed to be shining their Lights, have opted to turn them off.

You see, every problem [darkness] we are facing in this nation, has its origin, in the spiritual realm of our existence. As a result, the only way to get rid of it, is to do it by shining Light, the Word of God, on it!!

Outside of the spiritual realm, there is absolutely nothing that can be done to get rid of that darkness. That is why, no matter how many promises people make to those that they are soliciting votes from, to fix the problems, nothing they do really works.

This is why things have gotten as bad as they are.

The root cause of our problems, is not the GOP, not Donald Trump, not the Democrats, not the Pro-Choice bunch, not the LGBTQ community, not the environmentalists, not racism, not Hollywood or any other group that you would think of.

Our problem is those that have essentially turned their Lights off, for whatever reason, so that the people are in darkness, bumping in to, and falling over things. They are crashing in to each other, and are completely at the mercy of the darkness that surrounds them.

We even have people that are going around, masquerading as if they are lights, and getting others to follow their lead, which end up with both of them crashing and burning.

All of this because, the ones with the Light [i. e. the Word of God], tend to just sit idly by while all of this is happening.

Well, because they sit by and do nothing, and since they call themselves Christians/Church, and since they are on that hill, for all the world to see, there is no hope of navigating to safety, because there is no guidance/Light.

When people, that claim to be saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost, are confronted with the problems the rest of the people are facing, and they act in pretty much the same way as those walking in darkness, then what incentive do they have to want to come to the Light/Christ??

They talk about how Jesus is the answer!! But, as soon as trouble comes their way, they resort to ungodliness/darkness to fix the problem.

Well, if they do this, then those that are walking in darkness, see no problem in the solutions they come up with to solve their problems.

This is why women, non-Christian and Christian alike, can join forces to solve an unwanted pregnancy, by destroying a baby in the womb, rather than refraining from the activity that caused it to be there in the first place.

If they only knew what value God puts on those babies in the womb, most women would stop it today. But, the Light is out!!!

The LGBTQ community, and its stance on gay rights/marriage, are looking to being accepted as normal, even though God/Christ, sees them as abominable.

Laws have been passed to protect them from certain things, and allowed them to be able to take legal action against those that persecute them. Yet, if they could realize that the Judge of all Judges, is not swayed by any man-made law, or decision of any court in His response to this abominable behavior, then many would repent, and turn from this evil. But, the Light is out!!

The black community, in dealing with racism, systemic and otherwise, looks to politicians to give them relief, by passing laws and having the courts enforce something that goes totally against what Christ is about, talking about [affirmative action].

Their idea of dealing with this problem is to, in a sense, get even with, not only those whites that have wronged them in the past, but their relatives, friends, and the entire race, whether they are guilty or not.

The idea that they are not only bearing false witness against, and are unforgiving to most of them [whites], never enters in to their minds. Because the Light is out!!

The environmentalist groups in this nation with their supposed solution to Global Warming, is to essentially get rid of what they see as the cause of the problem, which is man-made, is another example of what happens when we are left to our own devices.

According to their own scientists, the earth has been here for over millions of years. During that time, it has gone through 5 major periods known as 'ice ages!!' This alone tells us, that in order for that to happen, the earth had to have warmed up on its own, for each age to end. And since man wasn't here with his factories, internal combustion engines, and other sources that produce what they say is causing this warming today, then, once again, man's solution is off, because the Light is out!!

Then we have Separation of Church/God, and state.

This misinterpretation of the First Amendment of the Constitution, regarding 'religion', is one of the main reasons the Light is out!!!

That is because, man, walking in darkness, has essentially told God/Christ, that we don't need any help from Him to run this nation, and solve our problems. We are fully capable of doing that, all by ourselves.

What they need to realize is something Jesus said over 2000 year ago, and that is, 'I am the vine, and you are the branches....... Without me, you can do nothing!!![John 15:5]

But, as I said, they are in the dark because the Light is out!!

I could keep this up for days, with situation after situation, but, you get the picture.

This nation is going to hell, and those with the Light [not all, but most], are standing around and letting it happen.

Then, they want to sit around and blame others, when the real problem is them!!!

Shame on you, if you are one that names the name of Christ, yet, when faced with trouble, or persecution, you turn your Light off, and try to blend in with those walking in darkness, so that you won't stand out!!

But, this is exactly what Jesus has you here for!!!

You are supposed to stand out!!! You are supposed to be the square peg in the round hole!! You are supposed to be the light, in the darkness, to chase it away!!!

But no!!! You want to remain neutral.

Guess what!!! That ain't happening!! You think you can get by, sitting on the fence, and being lukewarm??? Think again!!!

Here is a little light for you!!!

Rev. 3:15-16 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue/vomit thee out of my mouth.

If you won't do the job you are called to do, you will be lumped in with those that are in the darkness/cold!!!

How can the people travel through the darkness of this life safely, without the Light of the Word of God??

Here is a little more light for you!!

Ezekiel 33:1-7 [condensed], talks about the job a watchman is charged with, And how, if he sees trouble, and warns the people, if any of them perish because they chose not to listen, their blood will be on their own head.

However, in the same scenario, the watchman sees trouble, and doesn't warn the people, if any of them perish, their blood will be on the watchman's hands!!!

How would you like to have to stand before God, and have Him lay the blame for all the souls that were lost as a direct result of your refusal to stand up and be that Light you profess you were called to be??

That's one of the reasons, if you have been following this ministry's messages, I tend to be consistently harping on what most would consider, finding fault with just about everyone, and every thing.

I'm shining the Light on what is wrong in this nation, the black community, and especially the Church!!!

I have had brothers and sisters in Christ, respectfully ask me to stop sending them any more messages, because, I am being too negative!!!

That is like saying because the ship that we are on is sinking, I should stop bothering the other passengers while they are trying to sleep, or ruining their fun, and keep it to myself!!!

In the natural realm, when a tornado or some other natural event is imminent, or maybe a nuclear attack, we have sirens blasting for everyone to hear to get them to find shelter.

No one is saying, 'shut that noise off!!!'
