SCRIPTURE - ACTS 5:38-41                                                                                                         0CT0BER, 2007

And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men,
it will come to nought:
But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they
should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

SUBJECT – SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE (2)

When I left off last month, I was showing you some of the effects of what happens in situations where man tries to eliminate any recognition of God, and His influence from what he perceives as his domain, meaning government.

We already have all the information about just what the first amendment of the Constitution really means when it says, 'Congress shall make no law, respecting an establishment of religion, or forbidding the free exercise thereof.....', for we find that it refers to religion. Then from the definition of religion, we find out that it not only refers to God, but to anything that man sets his mind to believe and practice. So, in a nutshell, the correct interpretation of the first amendment, should be, 'Congress shall make no law, respecting an establishment of any person's, or group's beliefs (philosophy, or practices), neither should it forbid them from pursuing them.' That is the correct interpretation. However, most people in this nation believe it only refers to Christianity, because of the Supreme Court ruling about prayer in the public schools.

So, as a result, one religion, was replaced with another religion, the religion of atheism. And for those of you that don't know it, Christianity, is not a religion, it is a relationship, a relationship with Jesus Christ. It does, however, have religion, in it. The bible says, Jas 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. This means, acting on what you believe, as far a Christianity is concerned.

Well then, atheism got in, and God was kicked out, and you can see the results of God's response to being rejected by the public school system. They are a disaster area.

But, that is only the beginning of the mess this nation has gotten itself in.

You see, many of our kids, that were brought up in the school system back in the 60's are now, leaders in the community, politicians, teachers, preachers, and more. And the problem is, their minds have been corrupted in such a way, that they actually embrace keeping God, and state separate, to the injury of, not only themselves, but to all of us, and our children.

Mind you, God said, ‘Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.’

Notice, He emphasized, the children will suffer. And that is exactly what they are doing, suffering.

Now, let's take a minute, and look at the subject scriptures, because I want to show you something.

Back during the time of the apostles, going around establishing the early church, they were met with resistance from all sides, even from those, that claimed to be men of God. Notice, I said claimed to be. When it came down to the question of this new phenomenon, known as Christianity, they wanted nothing to do with it, and actually employed a 'separation of Church and state' policy, on them, the apostles. In their blind way of thinking, they were more concerned with their control over the people, seeing that they were, for all intents and purposes, the government, seeing that they had all the power, over the rulers, and the people, and they viewed this new thing called Christianity, a threat that had to be stopped.

However, one of them, had, what had to be a revelation from God, when he uttered the words, warning them to back off from attacking the apostles, saying that if what these apostles were doing, was created by man, it 'will fail.' Then he said, 'However, if what the men are doing, is of God, then, we need to back off, unless we find ourselves, fighting against God.

So, what they did, was beat the apostles, and tell them to not speak about Christ again. But the apostles, rather than being discouraged, actually rejoiced in the fact that they were counted worthy of suffering for Christ.

Fast forward to today, 'Separation of Church and state' is showing its face again, but, what are the so-called men of God, that are looked on as leaders in our communities doing today?? They are doing everything they can to keep from being persecuted, by actually embracing this lie from hell, and joining in persecuting those that will not abide by it.

Are you seeing something here??

Most of the religious leaders in our communities today, are in their positions, not because they are standing up for Christ, but, because they have joined forces with those that are fighting against God, or more specifically, Christ, the Christ, they claim to be serving.

They are told what they can, and cannot say. They can talk about God, but back off from talking about Christ, because that may offend someone that is not a Christian. They even make it seem as if, in the case of Islam, it is just as good as Christianity, and should be embraced as well. Speaking anything other than positively against other religions, is taboo. It is 'politically incorrect.' And after all, we, as Christians, showing the love of God, surely don't want to offend anyone, do we??

Well, what about, offending Christ??

You see, we are so afraid of offending man, that we have completely forgotten about offending God. But it is Christ, that tells us, we will offend many, when we stand up for Him, because He is an offense to many.

Do you remember what happened to Stephen, the first martyr for Christ, in Acts 7.

Stephan, laid it all on the line, and guess who it was that essentially killed him?? Not the common people (the sinners), but the religious leaders, the same group that crucified Christ.

Who is it today, that tries to crucify any person, that stands up and proclaims that 'there is only One True God, and Jesus Christ, is the Only way man can be saved, and enter in to Heaven??' It is religious leaders. They want to silence anyone that would dare threaten the 'status quo', that being keeping God and state, separate.

But remember this, if you read the old testament, God judged nations, and either blessed, or cursed them, based on how they adhered to His commandments, and statutes.

Let's do a little, simple investigation here.

People, flock to this nation every year, for what reason?? To seek a better life, for themselves and their families. The majority of them, come from countries that are, how shall I put it, economically depressed. Death rates are extremely high, due to disease, wars, famines, crime, and you name it. It is the children, that suffer the most.

Why is this?? Doesn't God Love all of them?? He sure does. And, He is able to do anything, but fail. He could turn all of these situations around, without thinking twice. But, remember, we are talking about a Just, Righteous, God. One, who has put the Word out, saying again, 'because the people have rejected Him, He will reject them, and forget their children.'

Now, just how have they rejected Him?? By serving other gods, in other religions. And He, being the gentleman that He is, says, 'Okay, if you want to serve them, rather than Me, then, seek them for your prosperity!!' And so far, looking at the evidence, their gods, can't do a thing.

But, the United States, whose foundation, is based, on Christian principles, is the most, prosperous nation on the face of the earth. Why?? God is blessing us.

So these people come here, to share in the blessings that God has given us, then we turn around, and to keep from offending them, we essentially join their religion with ours, and start pulling away from Christ. And, we think that God is going to continue to bless us??? PLEASE!!

Because it is too long, I can't print it on this tract, but read the old testament book of Deuteronomy Chapter 28, the whole thing, and you will see what is happening to us.

God told Israel, after they continually rebelled against Him, that, even though they were His chosen people, He was going to take the blessings away from Israel, and give them to a nation, that didn't even know Him, and leave them open for their enemies to conquer., and enslave them, until they showed their willingness to come back to Him.

Well, that is exactly what is happening to us, today, in this country.

We have 9/11. We have jobs leaving this nation, going overseas to countries that many of us, never gave a second thought to. We have, our children, dying from diseases, that heretofore, were essentially old people's diseases like heart attacks and strokes. We are enslaved to other countries, for our energy requirements, referring to oil. Violent crime, is at all time highs, with the majority of it victimizing our kids. For the black community, it is far worse. All of the above, cause the black community to suffer at a rate that is 2 or more times the national average. We have people coming here from other countries, getting the jobs and control of businesses, like gas station, and markets. More of them are getting professional jobs, like doctors, and surgeons, and such, while the black community continues to decline.

Why is this??

Because the black community, is the major offender to God, despite the fact that we tend to be the most spiritual. And leading the way, are the preachers, the leaders in the black community, that fuel God's anger towards us.

In order to explain this, I would have to dedicate a lot more space to it, than what I have left on this tract. But, I will do so, next month.

But, suffice it to say, as this nation turns from God, we are walking out from the hedge of protection He had around us. And these preachers, are leading the way.

Separation of Church, and state, is a religion, that needs to be abolished.

Now, many of you might say, I am getting political. And my answer to you is, you are right. As long as God gives me the strength, I will stand up for Him, just like I did the devil, before I got saved. We tend to think that our politics, another religion, and Christianity, are to be kept separate. And where, once again, do we get that idea?? Preachers!!

Let me ask you this??

Can you wake up in the morning, apart from God?? Can you sustain your life, without God?? Every breath you take, is available because God allows it.

So you can see, nothing we do, can be done, without God. Yet, we tend to think we can succeed in running this nation, without Him.

That, my friend is a fool's dream.

Yet, many preachers tend to be strangely silent about it. Some say, that combining the two, would mean government would invade our religious institutions, and corrupt them.

Well guess what??

Separation of church and state, has already corrupted the church.

How??
